Tour Overview

Eligible players can sharpen their skills at premium PGA Tour & Q-School venues against fellow men and women collegiate, amateur and select elite juniors while saving on excessive travel expenses to tournaments outside the Texas/Southwest region. The tour provides players elite golf courses and several incredible resort stay opportunities for the entire family at affordable pricing exclusively to Texas Collegiate Amateur Tour members.

The summer and holiday schedule allows players the flexibility to continue summer jobs and pursue internships to further their educational experience while providing the experience and course challenges of elite amateur and PGA Tour professional golf. All tournaments are ranked by both world amateur rankings systems: WAGR-World Amateur Golf Rankings & Scratch Players World Rankings.

The TJGT has produced over 4000 collegiate alumni on academic and golf scholarships totaling over 200 million in financial aid including USGA Junior, Amateur, PubLinks, NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA Champions as well as Nationwide, Futures Tour, PGA and LPGA tour winners.

Alliances

The  relationship with Golfweek and Golf Digest allow members to receive free subscriptions to golf’s top publications.

Rankings

Every tournament is ranked by two prestigious amateur rankings systems. The World Amateur Golf Rankings from the R & A: The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews as well as the Scratch Players World Amateur Rankings. These rankings give each player the SAME exposure as many of the long standing amateur events across the country. Tournament results are submitted to each ranking system within 72 hours of event completion.
